Every day tell your child you
love him/her.

Show affection every day with
hugs, and kisses.

Make time for special family
activities. (Boating, shopping, sports, etc.)

Meet your child's friends to
ensure he/she has positive influences.
Gangs
aren't family!!!
Many youth join gangs looking for
affection. Gangs only look out for their own interests
and forget about yours. Gangs are violent....
they immediately hurt and kill
people. Gangs lead to self-destruction.

a stand
Children who

to talk about their problems.

When talking to your child always remember to:
-
Find out
what your child knows about violence, and how to
prevent it BEFORE you start talking.
-
Let your
child know that he / she can always talk to you about
anything.
